DIY Candle Lamps

So easy to make and looks absolutely adorable!  It's a sweet touch for entertaining or adds as a perfect accent piece to any room.  Best part of all....you can make 2 for under $4!!!

What you'll need:
2 Candle sticks ($store)
Pack of 2 led flameless candles ($store)
Any type of craft paper (8 1/2 x 11)
Scissors
Double-sided tape

DIY'ing:
-Cut cone shape out of scrap paper
-Double-side tape it to the candle holder (about half an inch down)
-Add flameless candle
AND VOILA!!!

Now let me get this straight, I am NOT one that loves love.  I mean, I'm not saying I'm an angry pessimist but the whole lovey-dovey thing just isn't for me.

This video caught my eye and by the end of it, I was a weeping woman that was crying similarly to a child who can't catch their breath.  You heard right, hiccups, snotty nose, puffy eyes in all.  Which is why, I urge you to watch it.

Okay...really?!!

Flustered Friday happened at: Starbucks

It's Friday and though it's FREEZING, the sun is out and I am ready to start the weekend.  Considering this cheery mood, I decided to kick off my morning by getting a delicious warm beverage at Starbucks...yum!

 As I pull up to the drive thru window, I give the barista my debit card (obviously) and he asks me if it's the tap card.

.........GET READY.........

My response? 

"Yeah! Go ahead and tap that"

.........................................

The barista's face immediately turned ghostly.  When realization of what I said settled in, I almost spilt my much anticipated White Chocolate Pepperment Mocha all over myself.

Job Well Done Danielle!

For all of you that grew up in the 90's, you know that Saved by the Bell was a staple in our everyday lives. If you weren't watching it at 7:30am while getting ready for school, you were watching it at 4:30pm when they replayed the episode.  It didn't matter how many reruns you saw in the matter of a week, you would proudly and eagerly watch it again.

Leave it to Mr. Jimmy Fallon to shock us, awe us, and make us proud.  Thanks Jimmy!  We LOVE you...for real...!!

Caramel Frap Dessert Shot

Danielle FINALLY gave us her recipe creation for this dessert shot. A copycat of Starbucks' caramel frappuccino, it's to die for!

Ingredients 

• 1/2oz Smirnoff Kissed Caramel
• 1/4oz Creme de Cacao
• Whipping Cream
• Chocolate shavings (optional)

Directions

• Add some ice in a shaker tin and add the liquor, shake
• Strain into shot glass making sure there is room for the whipping cream
• Top with whipping cream and chocolate shavings, serve and enjoy!

White Chocolate Cranberry Shortbread Cookies

A true crowd pleaser.  A fan favourite.  A guilty pleasure

Glenn & The Girls Love...

Ingredients

• 2 cups butter, softened
• 1 cup sugar
• 4 cups flour
• 1 pkg. (6 squares) Baker's White Chocolate, chopped
• 1-1/2 cups dried cranberries

Directions

• Preheat oven to 350F.  Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy.  Add flour, mix well.
• Stir chopped chocolate & cranberries.  Drop rounded tablespoons of dough, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheets. Flatten each ball of dough slightly.
• Bake 10-14 minutes or until lightly browned.  Cool for 5 minutes on baking sheets.  Remove to wire racks; cool completely.

Well everyone, another year has flown past us!  

Here at Glenn Bondy State Farm Insurance Office, we care...like actually care...for real! All of you that knows us, knows that.  

Now that we got that covered, 2014 was a great year for all of us...or so we hope!  It's January and you know what that means--> new year's resolutions.  Yes, we all have resolutions that seem great and we're eager to get them started.  Funny thing is...they quickly seem to disappear.  Mostly around mid-february.  

This year, we are dedicated to keeping our resolution to you.  Our new year resolution is not just to be a good neigbour (ha,ha), but to be YOUR BEST NEIGHBOUR.

Okay, not literally, but in essence we will be there for you when you need us; whenever the situation arises.  We're a family here...we listen, we want what is best for YOU and your future and we promise we will do as much as we can to help you.

So this is what we think...

• Have insurance with us? Then stop in for a coffee and chat for a few minutes
• Don't have insurance with us? That's okay, come in and get to know us. Most likely, we'll rock your socks off.
